Photographers and DJ's... HELP!

Does anyone else feel sick when they receive their quotes from photographers?? I am all about quality but isn't $5000.00 a little steep??? Maybe I am extra picky b/c I have an artistic background but I am not seeing the quality that I would expect from someone charging so much. Does anyone have any good suggestions?

How about DJ's? I am totally lost with this too and everyone knows how important it is to have a good, fun DJ to keep the party going!

I think most every photographer is working with a $5000.00 price someplace in price list. But the most important thing is to meet the person who is going to be taking the wedding photos and like that them and there work! Take your time and look around till you find the price, work and the right photographer.
I've been in the business over 25years and celebrating our 25th anniversary in fine wedding photography and for a limited time, we are rolling our prices back to ten years ago! Visit our web-site at Photocreations.us for more info....wishes you the very best with all of your wedding planning and hopes to hear from you soon!

If you want a great photographer go to Alwyn Studios it is in Pittsford. It is a little pricey $2500 but they photos are breath taking. There work is absolutely amazing!!! Plus, they only do weddings, and they have been doing them for over 40 years. You do have to put 1/3 down, but it is totally worth it. On this site they are under photos. They dont have there prices listed. You have to make an appointment to go in. but they are wonderful. There number is 585-244-3500. Also for a DJ, I am using Smoove D. he is a young and up and coming DJ. He's prices are reasonable, I am paying $550 for 61/2 hours. He was my brothers DJ at his wedding and did an amazing job. Plays currents hits along with oldies for the older crowd. And if people arent on the dance floor, he will totally change it up. I don't have his number on me now but if you want it, e-mail me personally kdipiazza320@yahoo.com. I hope my advice is helpful!!

I got married almost 3 years ago and we used Dan Paniccia with Photo Emphasis and I couldn't have asked for a better, more professional photographer!! I absolutely love my pictures and my album!! My friends and family love them as well and still comment about him to this day!! Two of my friends used him recently and they are just as happy with their pictures! Not only is he a skilled photographer, but he is extremely professional and very laid back. He does not try to dictate what he thinks you should be doing during YOUR day. You can check out his website at www.photoemphasis.net. We used Music Masters for our DJ and we were also extremely pleased with them!! They really paid attention to not only what we wanted, but also to what types of music got our guests up and out of their chairs. Our dance floor was pretty well packed until the last song just after 1AM. Hope this helps!! Good luck!!

We are using Ultimate Images, they have excellent quality work. cost about 2500, but includes pictures for bridal party, parents ,and grandparents, also engagement sitting included, dvd, proofs. Go to uiphoto.com. They also have videography. For DJ, we went with Showcase Sound, as my fiance's brother used them at his wedding, cost about $725.

I used Dave From Classic Photos by Dave. He was wonderful to work with and he had great ideas. His work was remarkable and very affordable. Check him out at www.classicphotosbydave.com. I hope I was able to help you with your search for a great photographer.

My fiance and I went with a photographer based near Buffalo - Priore Photography. Check out their website - they are awesome! They did our friends' wedding and the pictures are beautiful, with traditional as well as great artistic shots. Also, they are very very very reasonable in price (e.g., $2500 package including all day wedding coverage - no time limit, a proof book, wedding album, parent wedding albums, and tons of 8x10s etc). They only have a small travel fee, but it is so worth it considering the quality and what you get for your money. The photographer we met with (Tracy) even said that the Rochester photo market can get overpriced for some unknown reason.
