NEED HELP

I'm in the planning stages of my wedding and never realized there was so much out there, any suggestions on reception places, djs, photographers, videographers, invitations, etc. ANYTHING WILL HELP!!!!

We are creating our own invites (staples sells invite set you can custom print for about $40/50 invites)

Dress: Bridal Belle - Melissa she is AWESOME!
Limos: Our own classic cars
Flowers: not sure yet - thinking of more candles then flowers.....

DJ-- Jimmy cMusic Machine he did a christams party at a friends job and they were great.

Florist-- Enright florist she does amazing work, It's in the city on dewey ave. they should change location but her work is great. The website does not show her work you have to go visit to she her books. She is very busy so if you need to be catered to alot she is not for you.

Reception-- Clarion Riverside Hotel very reasonable. Ellen goes out her way to accomadate you. They included everything centerpices and cake from little bakery great baker!

Photos and video -- Jimmy c Music Machine but I might change looking into other people. I did not do a lot of research before i booked photos with them. Afterall when it's all over all you have is your pictures and video so they should be great.

Limo- it's between Excel, Ceasars, and S & S limousines

Ok - This is my first time stumbling upon this website, and I cannot figure out how to create a new thread...
So this one seemed to fit :)

I recently went to visit Bristol Harbour, and was impressed with the view. I was not so impressed with the meeting. I have a couple of questions for those who have already chosen their location:

1) Is it too much to ask for them to say "Congratulations, when are you planning to wed?
2) Be on time!! My schedule is just as busy as the next persons and when someone is running late, I think it is best to acknowledge your tardiness and then apologize and give a timeframe when you will be available.
3) Is it not the Events Coordinators job to SELL you on their site?
4) What should I expect during these meeting? (perhaps I was expecting too much.)

I anticipated a warm welcome, congratulations on my engagement, extensive details about the site (the person I am meeting is the "Expert" - they should know the typical questions, and try to answer them before I ask), a complete tour of the facility, and a follow up call to see if I had further questions. This is NOT what I got!!!

I wish I was not so "in love" with the view, and could just by pass this one, but something is holding me here. I even asked for recommendations from previous couple who held their reception there, and was told it was a privacy issue and she could not furnish me with anyone’s name or numbers. Perhaps she could have suggesting giving MY information to people to see if they would reach out to me, rather than me calling them.

Anyone ever had a reception at there? What was it like? What would you have changed, if anything, if you could have? How was the event coordinator to work with? Etc.

Photographer - we're using Alec Bischoff of Ultimate Images in Macedon and I highly recommend them!!! They're portfolio is amazing and they really live up to your expectations! They have a wonderful wedding package, very reasonably priced (we shopped around too!!!). An engagement session is included in the package, which we just had and the pictures were amazing... really makes us excited for what's in store for our wedding day! www.uiphoto.com definitely check them out!!!

Limousine - we're using a small business Nicole's Limousine. Owner Ralph (585)392-1569/(585)748-7610 really stands behind his service and is very helpful! He will also help you out if you're going to need to vehicle for other events i.e. bachelor.bachelorette parties!!!

Florist - we've met with Sassafras, StacyK and Bouquets by Bonnie and they're all wonderful. Each place is unique and not your standard "stock photo" florist. I wanted someone with fresh, modern taste and I found that in all of them. At this point we're just waiting on the final quotes from everyone, so I think that's what it will come down to!

DJ - we're meeting with Showcase Sound and Go Sound System. I really wanted a GOBO projector rental and custom GOBO slide for my dance floor and both of these vendors offer this service and a very reasonable price.

Wedding Planner - we're using Jen of Events by Jen for our wedding planning. We're utilizing Jen's services for the "month of" our wedding to finalize everything and make sure all of my hard work runs smoothly. She's wonderful and very detail oriented, she'll work with you to customize a package to meet your needs whether it be full out planning assistance or just some minor support. Highly recommended!!!

I went to Jane's Fashion and Bridal for all my dresses. They are awesome!!! They really make you feel like you are family.

DJ - I'm using Jimmy C Music Machine...He came very highly recommended.

Photography - I went with Photoemphasis...pricey, but the work is amazing and pics last forever!

reception - plantation party house in spencerport. Beautiful location and private party..no one else is there beside you!

Flowers - I'm using Margueriet Herbert - I'm not real pleased with her personally, but her work is beautiful.

Limo - metropolitan limo - nice limos - good price

Invitations - annsbridal.com - discount invites...great prices and sales!

Hope this helps....and remember....just breath!! At the end of the day, whatever doesn't get done, you will still be married to the man of your dreams!!!!

Burghundy Basin is very nice and their prices are fairly reasonable. I just booked mine there. That's all I've done myself so I can't offer anymore help. Good luck!!
